Alonzo and Evelyn Parham Scholarship
Alonzo and Evelyn Parham raised their eight beautiful children always emphasizing the importance of three things: faith, family, and education. This $500 scholarship is not only to honor their legacy, but it is also to help assist a student who has been impacted by messages of faith, family, and education.
Application Criteria:
Must reside in the Southeast Michigan/Northern Ohio area
Attend a 2-4 year accredited college/university (If selected to
receive the scholarship, proof of school registration must be presented)
One letter of recommendation and one letter from someone you have impacted in your community
Submit one 300-word essay on the following: How will your degree help to positively impact your community?
Submit another 300-word essay on the following: Recall a time when you were personally impacted by a message of faith, family, or education and why that experience was so important.
Application and all attachments must be submitted by June 15th to be considered for that year’s scholarships

Matthew & Lydia Alston Scholarship
Matthew and Lydia Alston raised three beautiful children, one of whom is the founder of A5 Scholarship Charity, Dr. Michele White. The advancement of education was a priority in their household, so going to college was not an option but instead another step in their educational endeavors. This $500 scholarship is to honor their legacy and assist a student in the continuation of a degree.
